Hello! It has been SO long since I posted some nail art – I’ve had so much going on that nail art really took a backseat for the last few months but hopefully today’s white and lilac nail art will spark my nail art bug again.
Most of today’s nail art is made up of Born Pretty Store goodies that I was sent for review. It was completely unintentional that all the stuff I picked was purple themed but I think it worked out quite nicely!
I started with a base of China Glaze White on White as a base on all nails and then added a coat of Seche Vite Topcoat to help with the dry down before I started with the striping tape.
Once fully dry, I laid down some skinny straight stencils on my thumb, index and pinky fingers in differing patterns and then coated them with Born Pretty Colorful Tint Nail Polish (item #42381) in Ultra Violet. I really enjoyed this colour, it gave a really nice wash to the nail and wasn’t too runny – it would be great to do a watercolour mani with if you had other tints! I immediately removed the stencils to get a clean line.
Next, I painted my ring finger with the Mirror Chrome Nail Polish (item #42121) in Perhaps Purple. I definitely recommend putting a base polish on underneath with any chrome polish as it smooths out any unevenness in the nail and makes the polish perform much better! This one was great, it’s a more delicate purple and it is super reflective!
For my middle nail, I simply gave it a coat of the Pearl Glimmer Topcoat (item #40632) which is such a good dupe for OPI Ski Slope Sweetie if you never got your hands on it back when it was released (it was limited edition!) and it’s super affordable.
I gave everything a final coat of Seche Vite and finished off with some small silver studs.
