Hey guys! Once again, we’re at that time of the month where I take a look and see what’s in the latest MeeBox and give you my thoughts and create some nail art. If you want to see what was in the June 2017 box then read on!
The theme for this box was Ibiza, a perfect summer theme to welcome us into everyone’s favourite season. This box saw us get four polishes and two nail art items – let’s take a look!
This polish is a bold blue with purple undertones that give it a certain brightness. Good formula, perfect in two coats.
A white base coat to be used in conjunction with other colours to make them appear neon on the nails.
Use this polish over the neon activator for an incredibly bright pink shade that fits perfectly with this month’s theme.
A neon orange shade with a great formula, making it opaque with two coats.
A selection of 14 self adhesive nail wraps in varying sizes to fit all nails, in a tropical print.
Striped nail decals, in rose gold, black and white. Various sizes.
I started by painting my index and ring finger with the Nails Inc Neon Activator and waiting for it to dry, I then added a top coat before sponging on a gradient of Claridge Gardens and Beach Hut. Whilst waiting for those to dry, I painted my thumb and pinky with the Zoya polish.
For my middle finger, I took the nail wraps, sized up my nail and then placed the decal at the base, pressing firmly, and then stretching the decal over my nail to get it as smooth as possible, pressing firmly once again to finish, and press out all of the imperfections.
To finish off my neon nails, I added a strip of the rose gold decals down the centre of my index and ring fingers. I then gave all the nails a coat of Seche Vite to seal everything in.
Although not my favourite box, I liked more than I disliked in this one. I loved all of the polishes and they all applied really nicely so I’ll definitely be using those again. I also really enjoyed the striped decals, they were really easy to use and they’re always handy to have to beef up any mani.
Unfortunately, the nail wraps weren’t for me. I do think it’s because I have such a deep c-curve to my nails that wraps just never seen to sit completely flush to my nails and I’ll always be left with some bubbling and uneven application, but if you have pretty straight nails I imagine these would work well for you!
