Recently, Models Own released a brand new Celestial Collection and so today I’ll be showing you the swatches of the new nail polishes!
Models Own are one of my favourite brands for nail polishes, they’re affordable and all of the ones I’ve tried have been good quality.
My favourite polishes so far have been the Chrome Collection as they’re perfect for stamping, but I must admit, I think this collection has taken over as a new favourite!
There’s five shades in the Celestial Collection, all of which seem to have been taken from the current Unicorn colour palette that is so popular at the moment – not that I’m complaining, they’re beautiful! Let’s get to swatching!
First, we have White Pearl which, as the name suggests, is a white pearlescent polish. This is definitely one of my favourites of the collection, it’s super bright and makes a perfect base for nail art. Shown with two coats, no topcoat.
Secondly, we have Lilac Mood and I think this has to be my favourite of them all. I absolutely love purple polishes and this one is just so beautiful. It’s a soft, muted purple with a slight grey tone and I want to coat my entire life in it! Two coats, no topcoat.
Next we have Sweet Peach, another colour that’s super on trend at the minute. It’s a perfect warm peach toned polish and will look amazing with a tan over the summer. Two coats, no topcoat.
Love Pink is probably my least favourite of the collection, simply because I’m not a massive pink fan, especially not when it’s a baby, neon pink tone such a this. However, I image it would make some pretty awesome unicorn nail art! Two coats, no topcoat.
Lastly, we have Stunning and although I’m usually a massive gold polish lover, I feel like there’s nothing unique about this polish and I most likely have it a million times over by other brands. In saying that, it’s still a great polish and if you’ve nothing like this in your collection, then it’s a great one to invest in! Two coats, no topcoat.
Overall, this collection is a hit in my eyes. There’s some really unique colours and I love the pearlescent finish of the polishes. The formula is very consistent, none of them needing more than two coats to be opaque. One thing to be aware of is your brush strokes – rather like the chrome polishes, you’ll need to make sure all of your brush strokes start at the base of the nail otherwise you’re going to get some streaking. Other than that, I’m super happy with this polishes and will be pulling them out to create nail art very soon!
